Professor Suarez and Lee discussed Lee’s early acting years as a main character in the well known show, Kim’s Convenience. Lee goes in-depth about the struggles he had with embracing his character, Appa; as well as the difficulties the show had with getting on air. Paul Sun-Hyung Lee
Paul Sun-Hyung Lee is an award winning actor and comedian from Toronto, Canada. He has won two consecutive awards for Best Lead Actor, in 2017 and in 2018, for his role as Appa in CBC’s #1 hit comedy, Kim’s Convenience. He’s had roles in the Star Wars universe as well, he played the character Captain Carson Teva in three TV series: The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Ahsoka. His most recent work has been on the popular TV series Avatar: The Last Airbender as Uncle Iroh.
